person with praying hands wearing mala beaded necklace gold bracelet

Please follow below steps to use crystal and rudraksha japa mala

  1. Set an Intention: Before you begin, set a positive and clear intention for your meditation or prayer. This could be focused on personal growth, healing, or any other specific goal.
  2. Choose a Comfortable Space: Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. This helps create a conducive environment for your practice.
  3. Hold the Mala in Your Dominant Hand: Traditionally, malas are held in the right hand, draped over the middle finger. The index finger is used to move the beads, and the thumb to count them.
  4. Begin with the Guru Bead: Start at the guru bead (the larger bead at the center of the mala). This bead represents the start and end of your meditation. Hold it between your thumb and index finger.
  5. Set Your Mantra or Intention: As you hold the guru bead, set your mantra or affirmation. This could be a word, phrase, or sound that holds significance for you.
  6. Move to the Next Bead: Use your thumb to move to the next bead, starting the repetition of your mantra. Continue this process for each bead, moving in a clockwise direction.
  7. Focus and Breathe: As you repeat your mantra, focus on its meaning or the energy associated with it. Breathe deeply and rhythmically to enhance your meditative state.
  8. Complete the Circumference: Continue until you reach the guru bead again. If you wish to continue your meditation, turn the mala around and move in the opposite direction.
  9. Closing the Practice: Once you’ve completed your meditation, express gratitude for the time spent in practice. Gently close your session, and store your mala in a safe and sacred space.
