Nichola Tesla, an Americal Scientist, once said, “ If you want to find the secrets of the universe, then think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.

It is an established science today that matter when subjected to various frequencies arranges itself into specific geometric shapes.

Shree Yantra which is made using various materials is also a symbolic representation. Various geometrical shapes like triangles, squares, circles, lines etc are used to draw it.

It can be made using Sphatik, mercury, brass, silver or copper. It can be a plain two dimensional or a three dimensional Shree Yantra.

Sphatik Shree Yantra is one of the most powerful yantras that represents all Gods and Goddesses and bestows abundance, success, name, fame, and totality in life.

Sphatik Shree Yantra represents the path of life that you travel to attain the purpose. It consists of various symbols that represent a combination of Shiva and Shakti.

Sphatik Sri Yantra derives its name from two words: Sri – which means God and Yantra- which means the tool. So it is a tool or acts as a medium to attract wealth.

There is always a purpose behind recreating and worshipping a divine entity. The purpose clearly is that the divine entity reflects back the actions of our own self. Thereby raising us to a higher level of living with ascribed deity.

Sphatik Shri Yantra relates to Goddesses Mahalaxmi, the deity of wealth. The geometrical shape of Sphatik Shri Yantra consists of triangles, squares, circles and lines.

Each one has a special significance. These yantras have an effect on the human body and mind. Even science has started believing that something exists which is still unknown to humans.

The knowledge of drawing these symbols is expressed in ancient Indian texts like the ‘Agamas’ and the ‘Tantra Shashtra’.

These books include the information relating to ‘Yantra Chintamani’, ‘Brihat Samhita’, ‘Birendra Agama’ and ‘Kiran Agama’.

Well, you might be wondering about the word ‘agama’. It means ‘the arrival of someone/something’.  In the context of Sphatik Shri Yantra, it means the arrival of the deity of wealth.

The ‘Agam Shastra’ further clarifies that the ‘bindu’ represents a ‘source’. It is usually located at the centre of the yantra and represents the ruling deity of that yantra.

Each of the different symbols that are used in Sphatik Sri Yantra has a different meaning and resonates with the five elements on Earth.

Symbols and their meanings

Circle- represents infinite space and expansiveness. It is related to the ‘Aakash tatva’.

Square – It represents a fixed space and rigidity. It is associated with the ‘Earth Element’.

Triangle – It represents the masculine energy and resonates with the ‘Fire element’.

The inverted triangle – It represents the feminine energy and relates to the ‘water element’.

The Star – The star represents the balance of masculine and feminine powers. It denotes ‘energy’.

The clockwise direction represents creation/birth and the anti-clockwise direction represents destruction/death.

The two squares super imposed in Sphatik Sri Yantra form an octagon. They represent fire and prevention.

The lotus petal that you can see surrounding the Bindu in the sphatik Sri Yantra is used to represent aspects of the yantra.

Although the petals strictly do not form the part of the yantra, they represent the energy unit.

So this was all about the various symbols used in the Sphatik Shri Yantra. They can be drawn on any plain surface using natural ingredients like red powder, turmeric, flowers of different colours etc.

The simplest way to worship a Sphatik Sri Yantra is to chant ‘Shree suktam’ visualize the pattern in the mind and meditate on it.
