The rude shock of awakening can be jarring, scarring and intensely lonesome. As opposed to popular belief that spiritual awakening can make one more peaceful, joyful or stable which are most often late blossoming, the early part of the road can be absolutely catastrophic. Filled with chaos, mental and emotional roller coasters and the pain of cracking open to the flow of life, a spiritual awakening can be long and painful dark nights of the soul stacking themselves on each other. And since no one can essentially understand the spiritual journey of the other, no matter how hard they try, the additional burden of being hated, vilified, misunderstood and rebuked for emerging like a offshoot from conventional behavior and conduct in society or family life can cause severe wounding and pain. As we still seek validation from our loved ones on our life, we will repeatedly come to the rude shock of disappointment and pain. It might need many such rounds to create intense Dispassion from the modus operandi of human relationships which is essentially attachment and fear rather than love and freedom. Walking alone can make one feel deep loneliness, ache, fear and one may find that one falls again and again into the abyss of such imbalanced human relationships. Until one is fully free and self reliant, the pain of attachment and fear will hold one refuge in such abusive equations.

So walk alone…even if it’s a few tiny steps at a time but attempt it.. freedom has a price which each one must pay. If u r willing and seek it with a true heart, the truth and grace are waiting to take you in their hold.

This brings to light the famous hymn of Rabindranath Tagore inspiring us to walk alone…Ekla Chalo Re.
